Rosa
We were at a local pet supply store in 2017, when Texas Humane Heroes brought in some dogs that were up for adoption. Shel was sitting down close by, while I prepared to go pick up some dog food for our collie. The dogs were in pens, and we were told not to pick them up or touch them. But Rosa, a small terrier mix, jumped out of her pen and up into Shel’s lap. She stayed in Shel’s lap, and wouldn’t leave, while I shopped. When I was done, we decided we would adopt Rosa.
Later, Rosa and Dolly had a meet-and-greet at the shelter. They didn’t interact a lot — Dolly was very old then — but the shelter said it was OK and we took Rosa home to join our family.
